I had been using Cellex C eye treatment along with their eye balm and switched to Perricone's C ester plus his alph lipoic eye cream and while they are both good there are advantages to the Perricone duo. First, vitamin C in ester form is more easily absorbed and used by the body. Also this never stings and the solution is richer, almost feeling like an oil at first but it sinks right in. It leaves the eye area with a more hydrated feeling. I don't think it relieves puffiness, however, as I put it on at night and can still wake up with slightly puffy eyes. I don't think the vitamin C craze is all hype because I have been using it on my face and eye area for a few years now and have not really noticed new lines and at 47 my eyes are basically line-free. Having touted the benefits of Ester C Eye Area Therapy I should emphasize that I have only used it along with the aplha lipoic acid treatment, which there seems to be good science behind. If Dr. Perricone believes they work well in conjunction is it not possible to make one eye treatment which includes both? If not I think they should be sold together at a lower price. There is a Reason Why This is On Sale
I really wanted this product to be good. I really, really did. Vitamin C is a great way, indeed, of giving the skin more clarity, and many of the products containing vitamin C are in the pricey range. Because the cost of this is so reasonable I was hoping for a lower-cost alternative to the higher-end products. Alas, with a sigh I realize that I got what I paid for. This product is loaded with alcohol, in fact it's one of the main ingredients (you can tell because it's listed early in the ingredient list), and is very drying to the skin. My regular moisturizer didn't seem to be enough when I used this product and I don't normally have dry skin. The dry, flakey patches 'mysteriously' disappeared when I discontinued its use.

Also, a friend of mine who is a chemist said that there are many versions of vitamin C and the one in this product (ascorbic acid) is the least stable version of vitamin C you can get and is considered to be the least effective as an antioxidant. She said there are many better versions of vitamin C available out there and that I'm wasting my time with this one. She also said this version of vitamin C is known to be an irritant. No wonder I had such trouble! It's such a pity, too because the more expensive ones I tried worked well and I just wanted to find one that would be gentler on the budget. ... Read more

Yeah, so it's not cheap, but it does work.Within minutes I notice less lines, more firmness, tone and brighter skin.It also mattifies which is a plus for someone like me with oily skin.I can't really afford to buy this product so I try to stock up on samples from Sephora when I can.Lastly, it also leaves a pleasant cool tingle to your skin as the cream sets in.
