Hay
It is a very good conditioner. It is light and yet conditioning. but to me it smells like hay or cud or something cowish.It smells distinctively barnyard.but I see that many like the smell so maybe it is just me.

Throw out all your other conditioners!
I have dry, fine, difficult hair and have tried (no kidding) just about every product claiming to add volume and body to hair like mine. From specialty stores to prescription items - I've found a few that do work somewhat.I depend on conditioners to be the most important product in my hair regime because the conditioner you use has the greatest impact on how your hair turns out that day....trust me - I know.I've got this hair product thing down to a science.I used the two Lush products this morning: Big Shampoo and Retread.Holy **** - what a difference.I am so happy right now - you should see how good my hair looks today - I used this for the first time this morning and here are some of the key points:

1.You only have to use a very little bit (I have hair past my shoulders and I only used about 2 teaspoons).

2.The product smells like Heaven. It's got that affluent expensive natural smell - not that perfumey dimestore smell.

3.The frangrance lingers on and on - I've had GUYS tell me how good I smell.

4.After using with the other product "Big Shampoo (or Hair)" - my hair was thick, soft, shiny, silky, with lots of movement - no static.

5. This conditioner gives me the perfect moisture balance (for my hair anyway - I have very thin, fine, dry hair).

As far as lush overall:

Let me first state that I am in no way affiliated with Lush - I placed an order for over $100 worth of Lush products and this was one of the products in the order. The only negative thing was the shipping turnaround (little over 3 weeks) but when my Lush items came in - I didn't care. The scent of all the products is gorgeous!!! It's made with all natural products that actually smell awesome and last throughout the day. Not too perfumey at all but definitely recognizable to others. I had guys commenting all day on how good I smell!!!!! The packaging is delightful, the product presentation is adorable, and the quality is better than I've EVER experienced. Better than Benefit, better than Philosophy, etc. I buy and try just about every new product line that comes out - some I like some I don't. I can tell you that this line is my new favorite! I'm going to stock up on everything they have because not only do the products work, they are so pretty to look at that I will use them as decorations in my bathroom!!!

Customer service is extremely responsive and doesn't reply with form letters to your concerns and questions. They said they are working to improve their shipping times and were very accomodating. They also gave me some nice coupons with my order!

Don't Toss Your Detangler!
I have super long hair that I am getting tired of having to hack off every six weeks to avoid the "that chick's hair looks like hay" rumors. I was looking for something new/unusual to save my lovely locks. I tried Retread and it blew my mind. The first time you use it, the smell may seem weird (I still haven't quite figured it out), but it's not unpleasant. Besides, once your hair is dry, you'll be in such wonderment and shock, you won't care if it smells like asphault. BE WARNED though, you cannot skip your detangler. This stuff isn't slick or greasy, so if your hair tends to tangle at all (and mine does), you'll be sorry if you skip your favorite detangler. I can't say enough about this funky smelling miracle - worth the price!!

Ooh that smell
Even if Retread didn't make my long thick hair soft, manageable, and tangle-free, I'd use it just for the smell.The soy milk leaves your hair with a sublte delicious creamy scent that makes me want to walk around with my nose in my hair all day! My husband loves the smell as well, and has promised to keep me in Retread so he can keep enjoying it!

Vanilla Mania!!!
If you love sweet scents that linger and soft hair, this is the conditioner for you.

American Cream smells AMAZING and will work wonders on any hair type, but is especially great for dry or damaged hair and may be too much for fine hair. And you have to give your hair a couple of weeks to get used to Lush hair products because they don't contain any silicones which are used in MANY conditioners as a detangler (Pantene has a ton of silicone). AC is also great as a leave in.

almost perfect
I purchased this conditioner along with LUSH's Big Shampoo about a month and a half ago.I love the smell/texture/feel of both products to the point that I find it difficult to stop using them even when I see the havoc they are wreaking on my hair.I recently started just using American Cream and have noticed a huge improvement.

This stuff smells amazing.I had a friend tell me he could smell my hair in the middle of a smokey bar--it really stays with you!It leaves your hair super soft, but definitely not detangled.I find that I have to add a drop or two of a more detangling conditioner along with it in the shower (I use the light Biolage one) to get a comb through my hair.I do think this added step is totally worth it based on the softness and delightful smell.

More American Cream, Please
This is the lovliest smelling conditioner on the market. Sweet and creamy like a vanilla and berry shake, I just can't stop sniffing my hair. American Cream makes my hair soft, manageable and extremely shiny. My boyfriend loves it on me, he constantly touches my hair and tells me how nice I look when I use this. My mother was amazed at how drastically it improved my hair I had to by a bottle just for her. Even my cats can't resist American Cream; they will crawl onto my shoulders and burry their noses into my hair. I won't be caught without a bottle of this at hand. It goes nicely with Big Shampoo and Irresistible Bliss Shampoo Bar.

I finally found out the secret!!!!!!
I was shopping on amazon, looking for another shampoo and conditioner that would claim to calm my frizz prone hair, when I came upon this conditioner. I am a product junkie, so I bought it along with the Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo.

You won't believe this conditioner!!!!!

I finally found the secret of why some people have beautiful hair and some don't. It is Lush! With only one use my hair was tamed and shiny and bouncy. Not to metion that this conditioner smells like a milkshake. I went to work and everyone asked me if I had gotten my hair done and what my new yummy perfume was. And I work with a bunch of male cops!!! This was just on the first use. It just keeps getting better.

Believe me, you must have this product!!!!!

This stuff is the greatest...
I have long hair that some call curly and others call wavey.I typically just call it a pain in the ass.(I really do love it.It is just a pain to manage.)This stuff makes it not only so that the frizz is at a minimum, but it also makes it so I can run a brush through my hair.The time it takes to brush my hair has gone down from over half an hour to about ten minutes.

just okay
I bought this because of all the advertised hype and because I have extremely straight coarse asian hair that always seems to be dry on the ends.I was brought up on Guam and am a Filipino so the tropical smell did not bother me but be forwarned for those of you not used to this smell it IS strong and does take some getting used to.It did make my hair shiny but I don't feel that it conditioned it all that well.Gave me more of a greasy feeling.It really was no different for me than putting some coconut oil in my hair which I used to do all the time growing up.If I knew that this was just like that I would have not paid the outragous price that they were asking for.It also kind of worries me about where the product is coming from.I just hope and pray that the Ojon tribe is not so affected by the commercialization of this product.I can't imagine that they are not.The more popular this product gets the more product they will have to produce, . . and I maybe wrong but what would a indian tribe that lives off the land do with a portion of the profits made from selling this?I just would have to say it is an okay product but not worth the money.Try Lush retread conditioner.It works WONDERS.It smells bad but well worth it.You'll have silky locks after first wash.

ok......not bad.
For as expensive as this stuff is,and for as many places i've read about it....with my over 2 feet of hair,i thought i better try it. Rumour had it when Demi Moore had waist-length hair,this treatment is what she used to get those silky locks.So i HAD to give it a whirl,regardless of price.I've only used it once....so keep in mind...i was very cautious about not using too much,as i have very silky, fine strands...but ALOT of them.And too much conditioning weighs my hair down much of the time. Not this stuff.OK,,,firstly,the smell is legandary,but i'm an ex-smoker, love patchouli,or incense, and anything exotic-smelling. So the signature smell,did NOT bother me,and is completely gone once you wash it out.At first you cannot even tell anything is different, esp. when your hair is still wet.If anything, the strands feel a bit tacky,and limp.But once i blew it out,not only did my usually-fine hair feel fuller,but i could tangibly see the shine more. Admittedly,i had not washed my hair in 5 days.....when it's over 2 feet long you don't HAVE to,so technically it should have still felt oily and limp.Not with this stuff...and i DID use it very sparingly. I will use more next time,as i can see...once per week would be great for it.But blown-dry, it feels thicker/fuller...and glossier than usual. And it seems to have stripped out some product,as my color looks truer, and less brassy. I have the typical mink brown lowlights,with chunky, white bleached streaks thru-out. If i must say so myself.....my hair looks fab! And feels very silky,and shiny.If you have great hair....are used to spending alittle dough on it,this stuff really is worth it. And seems to be a product where alittle goes a long way.Def. try it girls....i mean seriously...what deep conditioning treatment actually THICKENS hair whilst glossing it way out?Nuthin' i've ever shelled-out a lot of money on.....i like the stuff,and will continue to use it once a week.

The Smell is NOT that bad
I just used it for the first time and I have only used as a leave-in oil. The smell is somehow peculiar, like coffe, but it is not bad. My friends said I smell like I've come from the HairDresser. My hair is shiny and soft, but i little too oily (maybe I used too much). I think that is an okay product and you should not avoid buying it because of the smell, which is nothing.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
I bought this on a whim, as I do most of my beauty purchases, but I am thrilled with the results.Granted, the smell does take a little getting used to, but you shampoo it out.I've used this as a shine enhancer and leave-in conditioner and the smell fades.I've had no problems.But the results are fantastic.My hair is softer than ever, even after coloring, and I get tons of compliments. I plan on buying the shampoo, conditioner, and styling cream (it has been recommended for me since I have long, wavy, thick hair).
If you don't mind the smell, I highly recommend this!!!!!!

BEST ON THE MARKET
This is the best stuff for your hair. It is a little costly, but the amount that you use it will last for 5 years or maore so it really is better than some of the other things you could buy. One the up side QVC Shopping net work has it for 42.50 for the same amount. The shampoo and cond. is $ 34.15 for both even with shipping you are way ahead. I have used this product for a long time, makes hair stronger and more manable.Feeds the hair.

I have wavy/curly very coarse hair.I have a cabinet full of the latest and greatest products for coarse hair like mine that didn't back up their claims.Fortunately, this product does!!! Follow the directions exactly for best results. I have never had a better conditioning treatment.

Not so godlike
I think I may have had a bad batch because when I read the reviews on how yummy it had smelled, made me curious. So, I tried it and I hated it! The smell of it turned my stomach. It did soften my hair a bit, but I don't recommend using it again. Sorry Lush.

Smells Fantastic!
I used this product for the first time over the weekend and the smell is amazing! Just like fresh baked gingerbread cookies. I have very thick, medium length, naturally curly hair - I left the product on for about 45 minutes and my hair turned out soft and shiny. It's 2 days and 2 shampoos later and I can still catch the faint smell of gingerbread. Wonderful!

Smells great and rejuvinates hair
I tried this one afer seriously abusing my hair (not entirely my fualt) and I was really pleased.It smells wonderful like a nutty or spicy custard.The directions say to saturate dry hair and wait 20 mins then wash out with shampoo.It takes a little time and you may go through it quickly but it leaves hair smelling great and stronger.It is not super moisturizing but is a good rebuilder. ... From Bumble and Bumble this is a spray that gives extra body to hair as well as making "wandering locks" more obedient.

After shampooing spray it on towel dried hair (maybe 8 good "wooshes" from the spray bottle) and massage into scalp then blow dry or comb and let dry naturally, whichever you prefer.
