Hay
It is a very good conditioner. It is light and yet conditioning. but to me it smells like hay or cud or something cowish.It smells distinctively barnyard.but I see that many like the smell so maybe it is just me.

Throw out all your other conditioners!
I have dry, fine, difficult hair and have tried (no kidding) just about every product claiming to add volume and body to hair like mine. From specialty stores to prescription items - I've found a few that do work somewhat.I depend on conditioners to be the most important product in my hair regime because the conditioner you use has the greatest impact on how your hair turns out that day....trust me - I know.I've got this hair product thing down to a science.I used the two Lush products this morning: Big Shampoo and Retread.Holy **** - what a difference.I am so happy right now - you should see how good my hair looks today - I used this for the first time this morning and here are some of the key points:

1.You only have to use a very little bit (I have hair past my shoulders and I only used about 2 teaspoons).

2.The product smells like Heaven. It's got that affluent expensive natural smell - not that perfumey dimestore smell.

3.The frangrance lingers on and on - I've had GUYS tell me how good I smell.

4.After using with the other product "Big Shampoo (or Hair)" - my hair was thick, soft, shiny, silky, with lots of movement - no static.

5. This conditioner gives me the perfect moisture balance (for my hair anyway - I have very thin, fine, dry hair).

As far as lush overall:

Let me first state that I am in no way affiliated with Lush - I placed an order for over $100 worth of Lush products and this was one of the products in the order. The only negative thing was the shipping turnaround (little over 3 weeks) but when my Lush items came in - I didn't care. The scent of all the products is gorgeous!!! It's made with all natural products that actually smell awesome and last throughout the day. Not too perfumey at all but definitely recognizable to others. I had guys commenting all day on how good I smell!!!!! The packaging is delightful, the product presentation is adorable, and the quality is better than I've EVER experienced. Better than Benefit, better than Philosophy, etc. I buy and try just about every new product line that comes out - some I like some I don't. I can tell you that this line is my new favorite! I'm going to stock up on everything they have because not only do the products work, they are so pretty to look at that I will use them as decorations in my bathroom!!!

Customer service is extremely responsive and doesn't reply with form letters to your concerns and questions. They said they are working to improve their shipping times and were very accomodating. They also gave me some nice coupons with my order!

Don't Toss Your Detangler!
I have super long hair that I am getting tired of having to hack off every six weeks to avoid the "that chick's hair looks like hay" rumors. I was looking for something new/unusual to save my lovely locks. I tried Retread and it blew my mind. The first time you use it, the smell may seem weird (I still haven't quite figured it out), but it's not unpleasant. Besides, once your hair is dry, you'll be in such wonderment and shock, you won't care if it smells like asphault. BE WARNED though, you cannot skip your detangler. This stuff isn't slick or greasy, so if your hair tends to tangle at all (and mine does), you'll be sorry if you skip your favorite detangler. I can't say enough about this funky smelling miracle - worth the price!!

Ooh that smell
Even if Retread didn't make my long thick hair soft, manageable, and tangle-free, I'd use it just for the smell.The soy milk leaves your hair with a sublte delicious creamy scent that makes me want to walk around with my nose in my hair all day! My husband loves the smell as well, and has promised to keep me in Retread so he can keep enjoying it!

Jungle is awesome!
I was excited by the concept of a solid conditioner and couldn't wait to try this. It took some getting used to, but once I got the hang of it, it was smooth sailing and silky hair!

My technique: I pinch off a small piece and make a paste with it in my palm, and then apply the paste to my hair. I've got long hair and rubbing the bar down the length of it wasn't getting to all my hair. While it's on it doesn't feel like it's doing anything, but when you rinse and then blow dry - whoa doggies! Amazing hair!

I sometimes mix Jungle with Lush's American Cream liquid conditioner. You wouldn't think the two scents go together, but they do and it's a great combination.

A NEW CUSTOMER
Am new to the LUSH product line.JUNGLE has a wonderful earthy scent that is quite strong.It does resemble grassy smells. It's a little difficult to apply and is not a particularly good detangling type conditioner - at least not for me with my fine, frizzy, fly away hair.It did, however, make the hair seem stronger while wet and not so prone to damage during combing.Absolutely love the Jumping Juniper shampoo bar and the Fresh Farmacy facial soap.

Good conditioner - REALLY strong scent
I like Lush products for many reasons, but mostly for the fact that their scents are strong, fresh and linger all day. But when I tried this conditioner, the scent was so strong that it overpowered all other scent and was really distracting whenever my hair fell into my face! I think the next time I try one of their solid conditioners I will look for one with a scent closer to the floral ones I usually wear. This is very earthy and woodsy. If you like that kind of scent, you will probably love this product.Good conditioner, my hair was very shiney.

Smells Like a Fresh Mown Lawn
Jungle is an OK conditioner, but not a great conditioner. It's not easy to use, and I'm not fond of the scent (it smells like grass clippings). The first couple of times I used Jungle it didn't rinse out completely and left my hair greasy.

I learned that you need to use HOT water (as hot as you can stand it) to rinse Jungle out of your hair. After rinsing my hair with hot water I do a second rinse with cool water.

Jungle is easier to use than Fuel, lasts a long time, and I don't have to worry about it leaking all over my suitcase, so I'll continue to use it, but only for traveling, not for everyday.

great for rehabing a trashed scalp
I happen to be in the Navy and each deployment, my scalp would get totally trashed out by the water and terrible nutrition.It used to take me months after returning stateside to nurse it back to health with Head and Shoulders.Out of desparation, I tried scalp conditioners sold for African American hair when I was on ship.I'm Asian American, so my hair looked greasy even when in a bun, but it helped enough that I put up with it.

A shipmate dragged me into LUSH in Bahrain, where I was put off by the prices but tried Recon anyway.Not only did my scalp show improvement after the first use, it works even after being washed out!If you don't do a good enough job washing this stuff out or use it too frequently, your roots look super greasy, so consider yourself warned... Not so godlike
I think I may have had a bad batch because when I read the reviews on how yummy it had smelled, made me curious. So, I tried it and I hated it! The smell of it turned my stomach. It did soften my hair a bit, but I don't recommend using it again. Sorry Lush.

Smells Fantastic!
I used this product for the first time over the weekend and the smell is amazing! Just like fresh baked gingerbread cookies. I have very thick, medium length, naturally curly hair - I left the product on for about 45 minutes and my hair turned out soft and shiny. It's 2 days and 2 shampoos later and I can still catch the faint smell of gingerbread. Wonderful!

Smells great and rejuvinates hair
I tried this one afer seriously abusing my hair (not entirely my fualt) and I was really pleased.It smells wonderful like a nutty or spicy custard.The directions say to saturate dry hair and wait 20 mins then wash out with shampoo.It takes a little time and you may go through it quickly but it leaves hair smelling great and stronger.It is not super moisturizing but is a good rebuilder. ... Perfect for 'stressed' hair
As the victim of a bad dye-job, I've tried every type of shampoo and conditioner, from over-the-counter to "salon approved" and NOTHING seemed work well for my color treated hair.

For a while I was using Redkin's Color Extended line (recommended by my stylist), but it began making my hair look and feel like a rat's nest. So, in an act of sheer desperation, I took the advice of a friend who suggested that I try using something from the Bumble & Bumble line. I've always been a bit hesitant in the past, mainly because of the price and availability. A measly 8 oz bottle of shampoo can cost an upwards of $45, depending on what you decide to use.Plus B&B isn't quite as 'main stream' as Redken, Paul Mitchell, Aveda or any of the other array of designer products that I have tried in the past.In other words, it may be difficult to locate a salon that carries their products.

I ended up going with the 8 oz. B&B Gentle Shampoo and Super Rich Conditioner, which I purchased online.Total cost: a little over $50. But, I am pleased to say that it has turned out to be money well spent. Fortunately, the conditioner is just what it says it is: super rich, so not much of it is needed to fully saturate the hair (this coming from someone whose hair length reaches about mid-back).

Bottom line: While it may be costly, it's well worth the money...especially if your hair is in desperate need of a little TLC. ... Read more

Very Hard to Use
Fuel was the first Lush solid conditioner I tried, and it wasn't a good experience. The only way I could get it soft enough to use it was to soak it in a cup of hot water before I took my shower. And then, once I got it on my hair, it took TONS of rinsing to get it out.

This was more work than it was worth, so I gave up on it. Jungle is marginally better. I just wish Lush would come out with a solid conditioner that was as good as its solid shampoos.

Not a block of fun.
Using a block of conditioner this concentrated should have SOME noticeable effect. It didn't. Not only was the block very reluctant to shed any conditioner onto my hair, but after I'd finally gotten some on and rinsed, I couldn't for the life of me detect any sign that I'd condtioned.
