I bought this for two reasons, one being i love philosophy products and two (the main reason)i love sting. This isa redesigned bottle, proceeds go to the rainforest.also, this hasa clean crisp scent and it isn't strong at all.

Mixed feelings
I have mixed feelings about the Philosophy Vanilla Ice Cream.After falling head over heels for other Philosophy scents such as Double Rich Hot Cocoa, Cinnamon Buns, and Cafe Au Lait, I thought, "If anyone can make a dreamily decadent, angelic vanilla, it's Philosophy."

When I lathered up my pouf, I was stunned at the delicate, subtle vanilla scent that wafted towards me.It wasn't at all what I had expected.Because of this distraction, I failed to sufficiently warm up the pouf, so the cold chill of the body wash made my mind drift to thoughts of what it would be like to lather up with real ice cream.

Since I happened to have a tub of Dreyers vanilla ice cream in the freezer, I decided to compare it and went to find out what ice cream actually smells like.(Before this, it had never occured to me to sniff my ice cream.)Surprisingly, the Dreyers smelled exactly like the Philosophy Vanilla Ice Cream...

So considering that Philosophy classifies this product as smelling like vanilla ice cream, I can't really fault them for that.But because of the disappointment that it doesn't smell like the sort of vanilla I was imagining, I'm subtracting a star. ... Read more

wonderful
This is a really great BODY cream. someone wrote in about it being to greasy on their face but it is for hands and body. anyway it smells pleseant but not as good as other things by lush.but it works fantastic.I am usually dry all winter and couldn't find anything that really worked but this does. it worked so well that Ihave forgotten to use anything for the past three days, after having used it three times, I still feel really soft to the touch, even the bottoms of my feet, which were the worst. wonderful. I couldn't be more pleased.

Just Okay...
I guess with this product being a top seller all the time, along with the celebrity endorsements, I thought it would be the greatest lotion of all time.

It's just okay.It is not bad, but like another reviewer said, it is greasy.

I also am not real crazy about the smell.This is just something that you will have to decide on your own.It does not smell fragrant, but more herbal.My husband can't stand it when I put this on due to smell.

If it were really great, I wouldn't mind paying the price and having to wait the 3 weeks for shipping.IMHO, you can get a much better lotion, faster and cheaper other than with Dream Cream.

**However, I am a big fan of the Big Shampoo and would gladly purchase that product again**

If you have REAL dry skin, MUST READ
I bought this product recently with very high hopes considering the perfect feedback. How utterly surprised I was with this cream after all that! It isn't even close to a 5 star rating. Here are my thoughts as someone with extremely dry skin who has no choice but to use moisturizer daily and who has been searching for that "dream cream" for 15 years now!
First, this stuff is greasy. Not only is that irritating in general but if you have long hair, as I do, it'll make your hair greasy as well if you allow your hair to touch skin with the cream on it. Not good.
Second, and most surprisingly, it doesn't f-ing work! I have been *so* itchy the past few days since trying this cream, I honestly have not had so much dry skin itch since those days 15 years ago when I first realized I would need a daily moisturizer. It does absolutely nothing except grease up your skin and smell nice, which brings me to point three.
Yes, the one redeeming quality of the product is that it has a nice herbal scent, which I personally like. This is due to the assortment of essential oils in the product, which no doubt causes the greasiness. While I love natural products, sorry Lush, but adding every available natural oil/ingredient doesn't a good moisturizer make!
In the end, this product was a waste of time and money. Money because it was $25.00 including shipping (for about 8 oz.), and time because it took almost 3 weeks to get here since Lush makes everything by hand (I was not aware of that before ordering). Again, this is a nice touch and if the cream actually worked, I would have no problem paying and waiting. Unfortunately, like so many other body lotions, it doesn't live up to it's promises. Sigh. Back to the new gold bond lotion...the only decent moisturizer I have found.

In a word, dreamy
Okay, the pun is tedious, but I've got the kind of dry skin that breaks out in little pimple-like bumps if it's not properly moisturized (and becomes maddeningly itchy in the winter, even if it's not bumpy).Dream cream fixed all of the above.The slightly herbal smell may not be for everyone, but I've never used a lotion that pentrates so quickly and works so well.One application and my skin is smooth and calm all day. ... Best stuff ever
While shopping at a boutique in Seattle I asked the retail clerk what her favorite product was and she showed me this cream. As it was so highly recommended I decided to give it a try.This is hands-down the best lotion/cream I have ever used.I have extra sensitive skin and I use it daily on my face, down to my toes.I even use it for giving my baby a rub-down after her bath.It is non-greasy, super moisturizing and has a lovely scent as well.I love this stuff!

Miracle cream!
My husband had a toe fungus (sorry, I know that's gross!), and he used this cream on his feet to soften them--and now his toenail, which had been pretty yucky, is growing in like NEW!I can't say that it's the cream, but that is the only thing he has been doing differently!I bought it in a shop in San Diego to help get rid of stretch marks, and it seems to help that, too!Anyway, we love it!

Great Stuff
I received a couple complementary jars of this product while staying at the Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada (Florida Keys).I have used a shea butter cream from Bath & Body Works and like the results but hated the greasiness.This product provides the same results but without the grease.I'm switching for sure!

I found this in a little boutique in Chicago and I also bought it because it smelled wonderful.I soon realized that this product truly lives up to it's name.I live in Colorado where it is extremely dry and this product comes through great!However, I was unable to find it in any stores here.I did find a couple of websites that sell Terrnanova products and have since bought other lotions.They all smell and feel as great as this.I would highly recommend any of Terranova's products, they are all great.

Worth Every Penny
I found Terra Nova Shea Butter in a little shop in Point Reyes Station in February. I bought it on a whim, because I liked the smell (very clean and light) and because it felt nice on my hands.I travel for business, and have had problems with moisturizer in a tube or bottle "exploding" from the change of air pressure in airplanes. No such problems with this little tub. And I live in Arizona mountains - this is one of the few moisturizers that can keep my skin from drying and flaking for the entire day. Holy Jasmine, Batman!
You have to love jasmine, and I mean LOVE JASMINE to like Flying Fox. There is a hint of honey in this gel, but it's definitely just a hint.

If you are a jasmine person, then this is the perfect shower gel for you. It's super moisturizing with a ton of suds and the scent lasts and lasts.

Yummy, creamy, moisturizing soap
This product is a great multi-use item.It is the consistency of a pudding, and even smells like it too! You can use it as soap, I recommend putting a dollop in a mesh pouf, and it will create an insane amount of lather.If you don't use a pouf, you will get a minimal amount of lather, but it still cleans your skin very gently, leaves it soft and slightly perfumed. You can also use it for shaving and it works wonderfully to soothe irritated skin..
It's a light, subtle vanilla scent that isn't too sweet.It doesn't leave a film on your skin but it is still moisturizing and will not make sensitive skin break out or itch.
The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is because the packaging can be a little inconvenient, but I just keep it in a cabinet by my shower/tub.A little goes a long way, so the tub should last at least a couple months.
