Brilliant stuff.
You can almost feel it really going to town on cleaning your skin and getting shot of that deep seated muck!

I LOVE this stuff!
It may seem expensive, but it's well worth it.After just TWO days of washing my face with this, I see a very noticable difference.My skin is clearing up and the ever-present chin pimples (ugh) are going away!

Invest in a couple of these.The smell takes a little getting used to, (don't be tempted to toss it), but the effects are little less than magic!

Does the job
I recieved a couple different soap bars after ordering some DREAM CREAM, and gave this a spin.I did 2 tests: makeup removal and afterworkout cleansing.

I'm a makeup artist, and don't wear a lot of makeup, but I'm in the middle of doing test shots for a short film.After applying large amounts of cake makeup to myself, I took COALFACE and washed.I never had to wash my face twice - this did the job well enough and will continue to buy these scraps for my makeup kit to give to the actors after shooting.It feels the same even after a long run: your skin has been toned and firmed, plus it's clean and smells better than some of LUSH's other facial products.Easiest little piece of glycerin I've ever laid my hands on.

Good for the job
I'm an exfoliant junkie; I've become addicted to the sensation of dead skin being sloughed away.I got a sample of coalface with my last order, and I was excited to try this new style of exfoliant.Now, I should note that, as an exfoliant afficionado, I have skin that is used to a little scrubbing.Coalface was not for me.

I felt the rough charcoal granules and some ingredient that burned my skin, my skin tingled and burned, and I was only able to exfoliate bits of my face due to the hard edges of the bar, which didn't align with my facial curves.After rinsing, my face felt sore and dry, and I had a breakout the next day.

My friend uses Coalface religiously, and it cleared up her skin and keeps it glowing and nice without the need for toner or prescription treatments.

So my conclusion is that this works for some people, but not for others.If you have regular acne, this is probably a great product for you.If you just need an exfoliant, try Angels on Bare Skin (or Ocean Salt if you want to splurge). ... Read more

Rolaids?...
I love Philosophy 3 in 1's but to me, this one smelled kinda sick, like Rolaids or Tums...

Another Philosophy disappointment!
Yuck Yuck Yuck!$16 wasted on another Philosophy product!This smells so cheap.It is awful if used as shampoo, makes your hair limp and dull!And the smell doesn't last a second out of the shower. (thank goodness!)

Too artificial
I kind of expected a "fresh strawberries and ice cream" kind of smell, but the scent is kind of... cheap I guess?Reminds me exactly of the strawberry syrup they use for shakes at fast food resturants.

Disappointing...
I generally like philosophy's line of products, but this was kind of disappointing along with their other food scented shampoo/conditioner/body wash products.The scent is that of plastic artificial strawberries...like NesQuik or strawberry-flavored type beverages.It's not a fresh, fruity scent you would expect.It's not horrible or offensive, it's just not great.It works well as a shampoo, well as a body wash, but as a conditioner I was not impressed with it.It left my fine hair limp and tangled.So I'll use this as a shampoo and condition with something else.I do like philosophy's unscented shampoo and conditioner; It's in Your Head and Sheer Splendor.They also make a good deep conditioning treatment called Head Trip.I've tried a few of the food scented products and I think the chocolate scented ones smell a bit more real than the strawberry, but they don't condition my hair as promised.I don't think I would buy this specific one again. ... Rock Star Soap Rocks

Great "Special" Soap...
This soap has a wonderful sweet smell, but be warned - it can be strong! The lather is rich and it leaves your skin nice and soft. One of my favorite Lush soaps.

Know what you are buying
This soap is marketed as a super sweet, over the top "rock star" type product and that is exactly what it is. I knew from the description that it would be too sweet for me, but I bought it for my my nine year-old daughter. She loves this scent and she is allergic to most scented products so Lush is one of the few lines that makes fun, scented bath products that people with sensitive skin and allergies can use. We loved the rock star soap so much we went ahead and ordered the matching bubble bar and dusting powder. One fun thing about this scent is that it scents up the whole bathroom and my daughter feels like quiet the beauty queen when she gets out of the tub.

Sickeningly sweet.
I love candy.Ask my dentist.I've probably single handedly funded his house in the Bahamas.I love sweet things, be it taste or smell.

This soap was sent to me as a gift (thank god I didn't pay for it!) and the scent before I even opened the box was overpowering.When I opened it, my stomach actually churned and I couldn't get the smell out of my nose for hours.

Against my better judgement, I used the soap in a bath one night.It lathered nicely, sure, but the smell was so sweet, I found myself getting out of the bath in less than half the time I generally spend in there.I threw the soap away after that.And then had to remove the trash bag from the house because of the smell.20 minutes later, I had to take another shower to get the Rock Star smell OFF of me.I didn't think the purpose of soap was to have to take another shower to get the previous soap smell off.

It's not something I will EVER spend money on.I'm a walking sweet tooth, but this soap was vomitously pungent.Blech!

smells like bubble gum, and not in a good way
This was the first soap I tried from Lush. I don't like the bubble gum scent- it smells just like Extra original flavor gum- but this soap is really creamy and moisturizing. It lathers nicely and it looks pretty. So I might buy again because it is so soft and creamy on the skin, if I can get over the smell that is. I think younger girls would probably like this one. ... HE LAUGHED WHEN I SAID IT WAS SEA VEGETABLE SOAP

Yep, my mate grinned when I told him one of my new favorite soaps was Sea Vegetable.

He's no longer laughing, he's using MY soap!Neither masculine nor feminine the scent of Sea Vegetable istotally refreshing, laced with lavender and lime oils. Do believe he's thinking of becoming a pirate as he sings away in the shower, sudsing with MY soap.Remember what it's like to walk along a beach when the day is fresh and new?That's reminiscent of this fragrance.

Deep blue in color the soap is topped with a wave of Atlantic sea salt crystals - so invigorating!It gives the skin a bit of a tingle and softens at the same time.

Yummy
I got this soap recently, love the smell.Sweet but not too much.My kids like it a lot too, they pretend that they are washing up with candy.Lathers nice and you feel clean after using, what more could you ask for.

You'll never want to rinse!
If you like sweet things, you'll LOVE this soap. It smells amazing - like toffee or creme brulee. It's also moisturizing and the smell lasts for hours.

Try not to nibble on the bar!
This soap smells so amazing! It's very sweet (but not too much), like warm toffee with some citrus to it.In fact, the bar I have right now has been used/worn away by about 1/3 and it seems like the citrus is a little more pronounced.The honeycomb thing is nice to scrub with, but I would've rather had it ALL soap!It is very softening and soothing to the skin.It's not at all "girly", so everyone can use it.Try pairing this up with a butterball bath ballistic and you'll have incredibly soft, sweet smelling skin!

Sweet and Innocent Soap
Lush's Honey fragrance smells just like toffee.
It's my favorite cool weather scent because it smells warm and comforting.

This is one of my top three Lush soaps (along with Bertie and Noriko). When used with Honey Bee Bomb and Soft Coeur Massage Bar the wonderful scent lingers all day.

The smell of this is just so addicting. It smells like yummy sweet toffee, but it also has a floral scent in the background that just mixes nicely with the toffee. I like the added touch of the honey comb on top. It makes a great soap stand in the tub. Just set your soap up on the honeycomb side and it won't get soggy and melt so quickly. best smelling Karma item
I don't like Karma... sorry, it's just too strong for me in the other forms sold by LUSH... but I do like the scent on the soap.Love it, in fact!It's much softer, more like you just walked out of a temple or something where incense was burning, not like you soaked in whatever they use to make the incense!

I don't know exactly what it is I don't like about the rest of the Karma products, but they seemed so acrid to me.Maybe they smell better once they blend with the skin, but after smelling it in the store I wasn't about to try them.The soap?Now, that's a different story... surprisingly, I thought the scent was very intriguing and had to have some.

The soap has an incense-y smell, with some spice and a hint of gardenia.Doesn't have that sharp, over spiced, citrus smell of the other Karma products.Very unique, unisex scent, and I've gotten quite a few complements on it, even at work.Much more subtle and pleasant, in my humble opinion.

Best karma item.
Most karma scented items make my nose burn, my eyes water and sneeze. Its either usually too strong and/or too piney. Karma soap is a great way to experience the karma scent. Its not too strong, but not subtle...when it doesn't make you sneeze, karma is a lovely relaxing scent. Its a slightly earth-y and orange-y and a little fresh smelling...its difficult to explain. But if you like orange scents that aren't as bitter, and you like patchouli (though a few people that hate patchouli love this one) you'll probably love karma. Its such a wonderful unique smell. I bought this for two reasons, one being i love philosophy products and two (the main reason)i love sting. This isa redesigned bottle, proceeds go to the rainforest.also, this hasa clean crisp scent and it isn't strong at all.

Mixed feelings
I have mixed feelings about the Philosophy Vanilla Ice Cream.After falling head over heels for other Philosophy scents such as Double Rich Hot Cocoa, Cinnamon Buns, and Cafe Au Lait, I thought, "If anyone can make a dreamily decadent, angelic vanilla, it's Philosophy."

When I lathered up my pouf, I was stunned at the delicate, subtle vanilla scent that wafted towards me.It wasn't at all what I had expected.Because of this distraction, I failed to sufficiently warm up the pouf, so the cold chill of the body wash made my mind drift to thoughts of what it would be like to lather up with real ice cream.

Since I happened to have a tub of Dreyers vanilla ice cream in the freezer, I decided to compare it and went to find out what ice cream actually smells like.(Before this, it had never occured to me to sniff my ice cream.)Surprisingly, the Dreyers smelled exactly like the Philosophy Vanilla Ice Cream...

Wasn't too crazy.
This soap was just ok.I thought the scent was rather sour and not sweet like I had expected it to be.Also, using on my body felt a little bit weird but I guess it's supposed to exfoliate your skin a little bit.It didn't do that for me.Not for me.There are other Lush soaps better than this.

Yummy!
Every late winter I get this sudden urge to get away to someplace tropical, and so I go looking for tropical-scented goodies for my bath and shower.

This one smells sooooooo good, just like my great-grandmother's famous coconut cake.It does exfoliate well and the scent lingers for hours, but in hard water it doesn't seem to moisturize as well.

This is a great coconut soap. The smell is divine. It looks adorable...the pink coconut on top is so cute. The soap is nice and creamy and the shredded coconut is a great exfoliator. My younger brother loves to sniff this...he says it reminds him of all the summers we used to have together. Great soap.
